NEXT STEPS
Here at Thrive Church we are always talking about “Next Steps”. This spiritual journey we are on is all about what is Next and being willing to take that step in knowing Christ and becoming more & more like Him.
Here are a few steps we think are critical and some information to help you decide what’s next for you personally.
SALVATION
The first step is knowing Jesus Christ personally. If you are not sure you are saved or that heaven is your secured destination then we would be happy to share with you God’s plan for salvation for your life & provide a “Begin To Follow” bag that includes a bible and a book by Pastor Greg Laurie that will help you understand what it means to walk with Jesus everyday. Jesus loves you & so do we! (John 3:16,17)
BAPTISM - "RAISED TO LIFE"
The Bible clearly teaches that baptism is the next step after giving your life to Jesus. Baptism is your chance to stand up and tell the world about your personal commitment to follow Jesus.
Baptism isn’t what saves you, but it’s an outward symbol of your inner commitment to follow Christ. In a way, baptism is a lot like a wedding ring. The ring doesn’t make you married, but it’s a symbol of your love and devotion to your spouse, and that your life is being lived for someone else.
We offer baptism services throughout the year. If you are interested in being baptized, sign up below or this Weekend on the back of your connection card.
The Bible defines Baptism as:
A sign of identification (Acts 8:36-38)
Symbolic of death and resurrection (Romans 6:4-5)
Representative of a cleansing (1 Peter 3:1)
Important step of obedience in Scripture (Matthew 28:19-20, 1 John 2:3)
LIFE GROUPS
We believe “DOING LIFE TOGETHER IS BETTER” and we also believe its as biblical as anything we do. Gathering together in Faith & Relationship was critical to the early church and is still incredibly important today if not more so. GROWTH TRACK
Growth Track is our 3 week class designed to help you connect to Thrive Church in a deeper and more meaningful way. Each class/step is 75 minutes & includes an opportunity to become a member of Thrive Church & join a ministry team. Go to our Growth Track Page to get more information.
